The Secrets of Water
Due to corona the themed tours are temporarily not available.
Since Classical Antiquity, water has been considered one of the elements of nature alongside earth, fire and air. It symbolizes everything that flows: our emotions, the subconscious, our imagination and intuition. It cleanses us both externally and internally, and in many ancient cultures it was the basis of customs in everyday life. Think for example of the healing Roman baths or the volcanic baths of the Inca culture, and the ceremonial use of water during many religious rituals.
This themed tour is an adventure you won’t easily forget. You will travel through underground passages back in time, to the Rome of the third and fourth centuries, and you will make a subterranean journey along the secrets of water. You will visit a mystical underground baptistery with ritual groundwater, and discover breathtaking frescoes that tell ancient stories about water in Roman times. There will be mythological stories and special rituals, but everyday life in ancient Rome will also come to life.
