Closed to the Public

Due to corona the themed tours are temporarily not available.

The ‘Catacombe di Roma’, or ancient underground catacombs in and near Rome, have been visited by countless people for centuries. The consequences were disastrous: many frescoes were seriously damaged. A large number of crypts are therefore nowadays – for protection – closed to the public indefinitely. Some paintings have been partially restored, but can only be viewed through a protective glass plate.
The only place in the world where you can still experience and admire these impressive crypts to the full is at the Roman Catacombs Museum in Valkenburg aan de Geul in the Netherlands. Many foreign tourists and scientists have already been there, because of its beauty and uniqueness. Would you like to see with your own eyes the crypts that are closed to the public permanently in Rome? Then book this unforgettable and colourful themed tour together with your family, friends or colleagues!
